An accomplished Marketing Professional with 20 years marketing experience for America’s leading companies, Peggy Richardson’s strengths include implementing marketing programs to grow revenues while containing costs.
Her extensive experience includes Director of Marketing with Inter-Continental Hotels where she was responsible for strategic marketing programs to build brand awareness and increase revenues. She headed up Inter-Continental Hotels’ strategic international alliances with partner hotels and with the world’s leading airlines. She was also responsible for formulating and implementing major events such as the opening festivities of The Willard Inter-Continental in Washington, D.C. and other Inter-Continental destinations around the world.
At American Express, Richardson was Destination Marketing Manager for the Latin America and Caribbean Division, leading marketing and strategic relations for all American Express destination partners in those regions and working with government Tourist Boards, The Caribbean Hotel Association, and the Caribbean Tourist Organization. Initiatives included working with the Caribbean region’s largest shopping centers and luxury brands including the largest mall in Puerto Rico, Plaza Las Americas and the annual American Express program, Dia y Noche de Compras (Day and Night of Shopping). During her tenure, revenues increased by double digits.
Other experience includes Director of Marketing at HomeBanc Mortgage Company and Island Global Yachting, an international developer of luxury marina, retail and lifestyle destinations throughout the Caribbean, Mexico, Mediterranean, and Dubai. A native New Yorker, Richardson holds a BBA from Pace University and an MBA from Columbia University.
